pOSTPARTUM IN-HOME CARE

Postpartum care is most effective when it’s lived alongside you. In-home care offers hands-on, responsive support during the weeks after birth, when recovery, rest, and day-to-day needs are closely intertwined. This option is for families who want care that adapts in real time — care that meets you where you are, rather than arriving as a delivery or a checklist.

Postpartum in-home care can include food preparation, household care, emotional support, and gentle guidance around movement and recovery. More than a single service, it’s a steady presence in your home — someone who notices what’s needed, helps carry the load, and supports you as you settle into this new season.

what my care entails

FOOD + NOURISHMENT SUPPORT

Food is central to my postpartum care. I cook with attention and intention, drawing on years of experience and a deep respect for traditional food practices that support recovery after birth. Much of my approach is shaped by long-standing postpartum traditions, including those rooted in my own Egyptian heritage, where warm, sustaining meals are used to nourish the body during healing.

I pay close attention to ingredients and sourcing, prioritizing food that is grounding, digestible, and supportive — not trend-driven or restrictive. This support may include preparing meals in your home, caring for the kitchen as food is made, and offering gentle guidance around sustaining nourishment in the early weeks. The goal is simple: to ensure you are fed well and consistently during a time when nourishment truly matters.

BODY SUPPORT + GENTLE MOVEMENT

The postpartum body is navigating significant change, and support during this time should feel calm and responsive rather than directive. My approach to body support centers on comfort, awareness, and rebuilding trust with the body after birth.

This support may include gentle movement, breathwork, posture support, and guidance around ease in daily activities like resting, feeding, or carrying a baby. The focus is on supporting recovery in a way that feels steady and grounded, allowing the body to adjust at its own pace.

EMOTIONAL + HANDS-ON CARE

The postpartum period brings significant emotional change alongside physical recovery. Support during this time can help ease the sense of isolation that often accompanies early motherhood.

I offer steady emotional support alongside hands-on care, including attentive listening, reassurance, and presence during long or quiet moments. This care is responsive rather than directive, creating space for rest and confidence as families adjust to life after birth.

HOUSEHOLD CARE

The daily needs of a household don’t pause after birth, but the capacity to manage them often does. Thoughtful household care can ease pressure and help protect space for rest and recovery in the early weeks.

I offer hands-on household care focused on maintaining a sense of order and ease. This may include light tidying, laundry support, kitchen care, and tending to small but necessary tasks that help the home feel more manageable. The goal is to reduce overwhelm and create an environment that supports healing and adjustment.

Your Questions, Answered

  • In-home care may include food preparation, household care, emotional support, and gentle body support. The focus is on meeting immediate, practical needs while offering steady presence during the weeks after birth. Care is responsive and shaped by what feels most helpful in your home.

  • In-home postpartum care is offered in 3–4 hour sessions, sometimes longer if my schedule is open, which allows enough time for meaningful, unhurried support. Shorter visits are typically not as effective during the postpartum period.

  • Care may be scheduled several times a week or weekly. Scheduling is discussed during a consultation and can adjust over time as needs change.

  • Yes. In-home postpartum care is typically offered with a two-week minimum. This allows time for care to settle in and be genuinely supportive during recovery, rather than feeling rushed or fragmented.

Shorter arrangements may be considered on a limited basis, depending on availability, and can be discussed during a consultation.

The amount of time is dependent on your needs, whether that’s for a few weeks after giving birth or a few months.

  • No. Postpartum in-home care is non-medical and does not replace medical, mental health, or therapeutic care. My role is to offer practical, emotional, physical and household support during recovery.

  • Care may include light support related to the newborn, such as holding a baby while a parent rests or eats, but the primary focus is supporting the postpartum parent and household as a whole.

  • Not at all! Many families aren’t sure what kind of support will feel most helpful. A consultation is a space to talk through needs, questions, and timing together. Even then, a true balance won’t come until we work together and find our flow that feels supportive to your needs!

  • No. I offer daytime postpartum care only and do not provide overnight or night nurse services. My work is focused on daytime support, including nourishment, household care, emotional presence, and practical support that helps make the days more manageable during the postpartum period.

If overnight care is something you’re looking for, I’m happy to help point you toward other resources during a consultation.

  • The first step is to book a consultation. From there, we’ll talk through needs, availability, and whether in-home care is the right fit for your postpartum period.

BOOK A CONSULTATION

A consultation offers space to talk through what support might feel most helpful during your postpartum period. We’ll discuss your needs, timing, and what care could look like for you and your household, whether that’s in-home care, meal delivery, or a combination of both.

The conversation is relaxed and unhurried, with no pressure to decide right away. It’s simply a chance to ask questions, share what you’re navigating, and see if working together feels like a good fit.

Consultations can be done over the phone or via Zoom and last 20-30 minutes.
